Heartopia Night of Divination: Unlock & First-Day Guide
Reach D.G. Member Level 7 and complete The Answer Lies Within to join. The festival runs October 10, 06:00–November 21, 05:59 server time. Start with the free Catalog gift, challenge goals and Daily Requests; paid Packs are a separate choice. Pumpkin Carving opens on day one, while Hollow Tree birds arrive October 17.
Use the countdown in your server's Event panel. We have not verified a universal server UTC offset or tested a logged-in game session; these steps organize the published official contract.
Opening-day checklist
- Clear the entry conditions. Confirm Level 7, the named Main Story and the server opening. If the Catalog is absent, resolve these before buying a Pack.
- Open the Catalog and claim the free gift. Find the Thank-You Gift row, then review the challenge goals and separate collection quest.
- Choose a goal and finish Daily Requests. Festival Points raise Festival Level. Return to the Catalog to inspect and claim the tier you reached; collection progress is a separate reward path.
- Preview a token exchange. Open the Store through the Catalog or Azure. Match your target item and price before spending Festival Tokens.
- Start a concrete gathering or hobby task. Visit Massimo for festival cooking supplies, Fishing Village Square for Honey Mushroom, or the Pumpkin Carving tutorial for tools.
- Plan the later releases. Schedule birdwatching after October 17, 06:00. For Trick or Treat Troop, perform the face-to-face two-person interaction with a friend on seven accumulated days; each friend has separate progress.

Goals and Daily Requests provide Festival Points; raising Festival Level unlocks tiered rewards.

Advance the collection quest; do not treat all 18 passes as an instant login gift.

Its level progression includes 36 Exhibition Passes and 300 Heart Diamonds, Otherwalker outfits and selected Whisper of Gloomwood furniture.
Read the purchase and level conditions. Buying a Pack is distinct from completing its rewards.

Collector’s Challenge
Turn in designated festival collectibles at the boxes outside homes. The co-op challenge closes November 7, 05:59; the wider Collector’s Challenge closes November 21, 05:59.
Some special fish or insects need their corresponding collection events. Use the relevant event row rather than assuming every species appears in ordinary gathering. Official opening schedule.
October 17 Hollow Tree route: owls by day, bats at night
- Confirm festival entry (D.G. Member Level 7 and The Answer Lies Within), then check that your server has reached October 17, 06:00 Server Time. Your device date cannot confirm the live server state.
- Go to Forest Island and look for Hollow Trees. For daytime birdwatching, target Eastern Screech Owl or Northern White-Faced Owl; at night, look for Tanzanian Woolly Bat or Long-Toothed Fruit Bat.
- Check the Event panel for the relevant birdwatching activity and finish its displayed capture objective. The notice does not give coordinates, weather requirements or drop odds.
- For tree loot, inspect its Growth or Mature stage: searching unlocks at Mature. This search is separate from the birdwatching objective; a furniture reward is not guaranteed.

October 15 fixes: retry blocked gathering and check proficiency
The update addresses uncollectable Hollow Trees, finished pumpkin carvings failing to add Hobby Proficiency, and an incorrect Season Collection Points display. After updating, retry the affected activity and check its progress; the notice does not promise retroactive carving proficiency.

Pumpkin Carving: tools → seeds → Grow Box → bench
- Complete the Pumpkin Carving tutorial for the required tools. The announced alternative is spending Wishing Stars at Azure's Fashionwave Hobby Store; Hobby Upgrade Tickets are also available there.
- Get Pumpkin Seeds from Blanc's Gardening Store. Put them in the Grow Box provided by Azure to grow Grimkin Pumpkins.
- Take the Grimkin Pumpkins to a Carving Bench, then arrange the finished carvings in your home.
- Check the Carving Collectible Certification for its displayed reward requirements. This hobby remains permanently available after the festival.
Hollow Trees and the Festival Store
Search a mature tree
Visit Forest Island during the festival and inspect the tree's stage. Search is available at the Mature Stage, after Growth. Announced possible rewards include Raven Ground Light, Owl Wall Bookshelf, Bat Wind Chime and fireworks; none is a guaranteed drop. The October 17 creatures use these trees too, with the day/night split listed above.
Choose a store exchange
Use the Catalog's Store entry or visit Fashion Ambassador Azure. Festival Tokens buy items such as Nature Inspiration Card Table and Laughing Pumpkin Pet Bed. Quests, Catalog rewards and designated items sold to Azure provide tokens. After the season, unused tokens convert to gold at 1:1 and arrive by mailbox.

Common blockers and date questions
Why can’t I see Night of Divination yet?
Check all three conditions: your server has reached October 10, 06:00; you are D.G. Member Level 7; and you completed The Answer Lies Within. Your local calendar date alone does not prove your server is open.
Does Night of Divination end on November 28?
No. The festival closes November 21 at 05:59 server time. November 28 at 05:59 is the separate use deadline for this festival’s Time-Limited Exhibition Passes.
Do I need a paid Pack for the free Catalog rewards?
The official announcements distinguish the free Thank-You Gift and collection rewards from the purchased Pack. Check the free claim and collection rows before deciding whether to buy anything.
Does Pumpkin Carving disappear after the festival?
The October 9 announcement explicitly makes Pumpkin Carving permanent after its October 10 launch. The festival’s limited collection and store windows are separate.
Why are the Hollow Tree birds missing on opening day?
Their announced opening is October 17 at 06:00 server time, one week after the fish and insect opening. After that, owls are announced for daytime and bats for nighttime.
