Heartopia Fashion Guide: Outfits, Sets & Custom Design
Everything about clothing in Heartopia — from Dorothee's daily shop to gacha sets, custom tailoring, and Fashionwave events. Learn how to build your wardrobe, unlock outfit presets, and collect every set.
What Is the Fashion System in Heartopia?
Fashion is one of Heartopia's deepest systems. With over 1,000 clothing items across 10+ categories, the wardrobe is far more than cosmetic flair — it is a core progression track with its own collection milestones, seasonal events, and creative design mechanics.
Clothing comes from six main sources: Dorothee's daily-rotating shop, gacha Exhibition banners, seasonal Fashionwave events, custom tailoring via the Drawing Board, quest rewards, and rare tree drops. Each source offers different items, so building a complete wardrobe means engaging with all of them.
Collecting unique items earns Clothing Collection Points. At 800 points you unlock Outfit Presets — saved looks you can swap between instantly. Completing full sets registers them in your Collection for bonus points and quick-equip access.
All Clothing Slots & Categories
Heartopia has 10+ distinct clothing slots. Each slot accepts one item at a time. Full-body outfits (dresses, jumpsuits, overalls) occupy both the Top and Bottom slots simultaneously.
| Slot | Description | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Hat | Caps, crowns, bunny ears, seasonal headwear | Straw Hat, Frostguard Hood, MLP Crown |
| Top | Shirts, sweaters, jackets, vests | Cozy Sweater, Sailor Jacket, Floral Blouse |
| Bottom | Pants, skirts, shorts | Denim Jeans, Plaid Skirt, Cargo Shorts |
| Dress / Full Suit | Full-body outfits that replace top and bottom slots | Princess Gown, Overalls, Jumpsuit |
| Shoes | Boots, sandals, sneakers, slippers | Garden Boots, Beach Sandals, Snow Boots |
| Socks | Various lengths and patterns | Knee-High Socks, Striped Socks, Fuzzy Socks |
| Face Decor | Glasses, masks, face paint | Round Glasses, Masquerade Mask, Freckles |
| Earrings | Studs, hoops, dangles | Pearl Studs, Star Hoops, Flower Dangles |
| Backpack / Bag | Worn on back or carried by hand | Garden Backpack, Tote Bag, Satchel |
| Umbrella | Held during rain or as accessory | Floral Umbrella, Transparent Umbrella, Parasol |
How to Get Clothes in Heartopia
There are six main ways to acquire clothing. Each method has different costs, unlock requirements, and item pools. Serious collectors use all six sources.
Dorothee's Shop
Main reliable source for everyday clothing. Stock changes every day — check daily for rare items.
Gilded Acorn Exhibition (Gacha)
No-duplicate pool system. Collab banners (e.g. My Little Pony) have 6 pools with 5 outfit pieces + 1 vehicle each.
Fashionwave Events
More targeted than gacha — you can pick specific pieces. Tokens earned from weekly challenges, cooking, and selling.
Custom Tailoring
Design your own patterns. Tailoring Tickets come from quests or 80 Moonlight Crystals each.
Quest Rewards
Some exclusive outfits are only available through specific quest chains.
Tree Drops
Rare random drops. Not a reliable source but a pleasant surprise.
Custom Tailoring: Design Your Own Clothes
At D.G. Level 14, you unlock the ability to design custom clothing. Purchase a Drawing Board from Ka Ching for 2,000 Gold and place it in your home.
How Custom Tailoring Works
- Open the Drawing Board at your home.
- Choose a clothing template (shirt, pants, hat, etc.).
- Paint your own pattern using the pixel editor.
- Spend 1 Tailoring Ticket per design to finalize it.
- The finished item appears in your wardrobe as a unique piece.
How to Get Tailoring Tickets
- Complete specific NPC quests (check Blanc and other NPCs).
- Exchange 80 Moonlight Crystals per ticket at the Crystal Shop.
- Occasional event rewards during seasonal events.
Custom designs are player-unique — no one else has the exact same pattern. This makes tailoring the best way to stand out if you want a truly personal wardrobe.
Known Clothing Sets
Completing a full set registers it in your Collection and awards bonus points. Here are the confirmed sets along with their source, piece count, and rarity.
| Set Name | Source | Pieces | Season | Rarity |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Frostguard Set | Winter Frost gacha banner | 5 | Winter | Legendary |
| Marshmallow Set | Fashionwave Store | 4 | Winter | Epic |
| Mandarin Set | Lunar New Year event | 5 | Winter/Spring | Epic |
| Rainbow Dash Set | MLP Collab banner | 5 | Limited | Legendary |
| Twilight Sparkle Set | MLP Collab banner | 5 | Limited | Legendary |
| Spring Blossom Set | Spring Exhibition Pass | 4 | Spring | Epic |
| Summer Seaside Set | Summer Fashionwave | 4 | Summer | Rare |
| Harvest Festival Set | Autumn Exhibition Pass | 4 | Autumn | Epic |
Outfit Presets: Save & Swap Looks Instantly
Once you collect enough unique items to reach 800 Clothing Collection Points, the Outfit Preset feature unlocks. This lets you save complete outfits and switch between them without manually changing each slot.
How to Use Outfit Presets
- Open the Dress-up app from your watch, or interact with any wardrobe furniture.
- Put on the outfit you want to save.
- Tap "Save Preset" and choose a slot (up to 10 available).
- To switch, open presets and tap the saved look — all slots change at once.
Presets are perfect for maintaining themed outfits — a farming look, a party outfit, a fishing getup, and a rainy-day ensemble can all be one tap away.
Worked Example: Building a Wardrobe in 30 Days
A new player wants to reach 800 Collection Points and unlock presets within their first month.
Week 1: Dorothee + Quest Rewards
Visit Dorothee daily and buy 1-2 affordable items per day (budget: ~500 Gold/day). Complete the "My New Clothes" quest line for free starter pieces. By end of Week 1: ~15 unique items, ~75 Collection Points.
Week 2: Fashionwave + NPC Quests
If a Fashionwave event is active, earn tokens from cooking and selling. Target 3-4 Fashionwave items. Accept NPC quests from Blanc (the designer) for clothing rewards. By end of Week 2: ~35 items, ~200 Points.
Week 3: First Gacha Pulls + Continued Shopping
Use saved Exhibition Passes for 3-5 gacha pulls. Each new gacha item counts. Keep buying Dorothee stock daily. By end of Week 3: ~55 items, ~400 Points.
Week 4: Fill Gaps + Complete a Set
Focus on completing at least one full clothing set for the bonus points. Buy remaining Dorothee items you skipped. If D.G. Level 14, make 1-2 custom pieces. Target: 70+ items, 800+ Points. Presets unlocked.
Total Gold spent: approximately 15,000-20,000 Gold over 30 days. Achievable with a stable farming + cooking income loop.
Fashion Tips
1. Check Dorothee every single day
Her shop rotates daily and rare items appear unpredictably. Set a mental alarm to visit Dorothee first thing every login. A 5-star dress that costs 3,000 Gold today will not be there tomorrow.
2. Save Exhibition Passes for collab banners
Collab outfits (like My Little Pony) are truly limited — they never come back once the banner ends. Standard banners rotate back eventually, so spend passes on collabs first.
3. Unlock custom tailoring at D.G. Level 14
The Drawing Board lets you design unique patterns that no other player has. It costs 2,000 Gold from Ka Ching plus Tailoring Tickets, but the creative freedom is unmatched.
4. Use outfit presets to switch looks fast
Once you reach 800 Clothing Collection Points, you unlock outfit presets. Save up to 10 complete looks and swap with one tap from your watch or wardrobe.
5. Complete sets for Collection Points
Finishing a full clothing set adds it to your Collection and awards bonus points. These points unlock preset slots and milestone rewards — always try to complete sets rather than collecting random pieces.
6. Farm Fashionwave Tokens from cooking and selling
During Fashionwave events, cooking dishes and selling items at the market earn tokens. Stack high-value recipes and sell batches for the fastest token income.
Seasonal Fashion Rotation
Heartopia's clothing follows a seasonal theme cycle. Each real-world season brings new items and limited-time sets:
Spring
Pastels, florals, light dresses, garden hats, rain boots. Spring Blossom Set available via Exhibition Pass.
Summer
Beachwear, sunhats, sandals, tropical prints. Summer Seaside Set available via Fashionwave Store.
Autumn
Cozy sweaters, scarves, boots, warm tones. Harvest Festival Set available via Exhibition Pass.
Winter
Snow jackets, fur boots, festive outfits. Frostguard Set and Marshmallow Set available via gacha and Fashionwave.
