Heartopia Floating Placement & Ignore Overlap Guide
Heartopia added official Ignore Overlap and Floating Placement settings in the September 23 update. Both unlock once your Home Evaluation is above 1500, making many old furniture-overlap and floating workarounds unnecessary for normal creative builds.

How to enable the new building tools
- 1. Raise your Home Evaluation above 1500.
- 2. Enter Build Mode and open Building Settings.
- 3. Enable Ignore Overlap and/or Floating Placement for the build you are working on.
- 4. Use Precision Mode when you need Free Placement or Free Rotation for finer adjustment.
- 5. Save or test the build before removing support pieces from a complex structure.
The official announcement confirms the features and unlock threshold, but control labels can vary by platform and localization. Use the buttons shown in your current client rather than relying on an old keybind screenshot.
Which setting should you use?

What changed for old build glitches?
Start with the official Building Settings for overlapping or raised decorations. Test placement on one piece before applying the technique across a large build, and use the current client controls when arranging cabinets, pillars or decorative layers.
If the options do not appear
First confirm your Home Evaluation is above 1500 and your client includes the September 23 update. Then re-open Building Settings. If the UI still differs, use the current in-game menu as the source of truth rather than forcing a keybind from another platform.
