Step 1
Check whether the item is giftable
Heartopia does not provide unrestricted player-to-player inventory trading. Only supported gift items should be expected to appear in the gift flow.
Gifting · reviewed October 4, 2026
If you mean gifting another player, Heartopia does not let you freely transfer everything in your inventory. Player reports describe wrapping eligible books or music and attaching them to a postcard; availability varies by client. If you mean gifting an NPC, be careful: many older web guides mix regions or game versions.
Step 1
Heartopia does not provide unrestricted player-to-player inventory trading. Only supported gift items should be expected to appear in the gift flow.
Step 2
Current player reports most consistently describe wrapping supported items before they can be attached to a postcard.
Step 3
Players report creating a postcard and attaching a wrapped eligible item. If your client has no attachment option, check the current help before buying wrapping supplies.
Step 4
For memberships, passes, vehicles, or other paid gifts, keep mailbox and purchase screenshots until the recipient confirms delivery.
Community reports describe books and music CDs as normal wrapped gifts. Treat any broader giftability claim as item- and version-specific until the live client exposes that item in the gift picker.
| Item / system | Current confidence | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Unpublished paintings | Officially documented | The August 19 maintenance note describes friend gifting of unpublished paintings. It does not make every item transferable; check the current item gift options. |
| Books and music | Community-reported | Books and music CDs are the most consistently reported normal items that can be wrapped and mailed. |
| Food sharing | Separate social interaction | Sharing food with visitors is not the same system as transferring arbitrary inventory through mail. |
| Furniture and materials | Do not assume giftable | Normal furniture, materials, fish, crops, and other inventory items should not be treated as freely transferable unless the live item UI explicitly allows it. |
| Paid store gifts | Separate purchase flow | Players report store gift modes for some premium offers. Eligibility and available offers depend on the client; confirm a Gift option before paying. |
Some Heartopia pages on the web publish exact NPC favorite lists, friendship point tables, birthdays, and daily gift limits. Current Global/NA player reports do not consistently expose that NPC-gifting system. Check the interaction options in your current client before planning NPC gifts.
For the stable NPC roster, roles, and locations, use our NPC directory and your in-game map.
Open NPC directoryPlayer reports describe separate flows: sharing food during social play, sending an eligible wrapped item by postcard, and buying a premium gift for another player should not be described as one unrestricted trading feature. If your goal is to move a normal inventory item to a friend, check the item UI first.
Official updates document friend gifting of unpublished paintings and a friend-gift receiving limit. They do not establish universal NPC gift preferences or exact friendship-point rewards.
The player discussions describe older clients. Wrapping, postcard attachments, books/music and paid offers are community-reported, version-dependent flows; use the options visible in your current game.
Check the gift options in your current client. Player discussions describe wrapping eligible books or music and attaching them to a friend postcard; these reports are version dependent. Do not assume arbitrary inventory items can be transferred.
The item may not be giftable, may need to be wrapped first, or may belong to a separate paid/store gifting system. Do not assume every inventory item can be mailed to another player.
Do not assume so. Current community evidence does not support unrestricted direct item trading. Check the live item description and gift picker before buying wrapping paper or planning a transfer.
Be careful with old NPC gift lists. Current Global/NA player reports do not consistently show an NPC gifting option, while some guides mix regional or older game data. Use the interaction options visible in your own current client rather than relying on an unsupported favorite-gift table.
Community reports say supported mailed items often need wrapping before they appear as a postcard gift. Store wording and availability can change, so confirm the current item and wrapping UI in your own client.
