Heartopia Hot Air Balloon Guide: Schedule, Unlock & Routes

How to unlock

Check your D.G. Member level first. At Level 18, Gazing Boy is the access point. Use the current in-game map to find him; this guide does not assign an unverified map pin.

Schedule & weather

Plan around the in-game server clock, which may differ from your local clock. Check the weather before arranging a group ride.

The August 26 patch also mentions a weekday 3:30–4 PM launch bug fix. It does not publish a replacement invitation schedule or a guaranteed late-entry window. For availability outside the announced weekend invitations, follow the current client.

Choose a route

Flower Field Route and Town Sky Tour are the two named choices. Confirm the route with your group before starting. The official rules do not supply route durations or a route-specific reward table.

Viewing Mode & current features

After takeoff, tap or click the lower-right button for Viewing Mode: the full balloon is visible and chat content is hidden. The September 23 update also supports two balloons taking off simultaneously and improves the buttons shown during flight.

If the balloon does not start

1. Check your level, the server day and time, and rain or snow.
2. Check current game notices. August 26 addressed camera, ticket and rain-notification issues; September 24 addressed the balloon disappearing after Build Mode and failed launches.
3. If the problem persists, record your server, time, weather and any error, then use the game's support channel. A historical fix does not guarantee that every current failure is solved.
