Optimal Mining Route

  1. Check daily rare node first. If Flawless Fluorite spawned today, mine it immediately — it disappears tomorrow.
  2. River Area mine (layers 1-2). Consistent Copper Ore spawns. Hit every node on both layers.
  3. Mid-layer mine. Iron Ore nodes. Mine everything — Metal Ingots are always needed.
  4. Cave crystal nodes. Look for Fluorite (Rare). Save for Research Room upgrades.
  5. Surface sweep. Pick up roadside Stone on your way back. Free and plentiful.

This route costs ~30-40 stamina total. Bring Coffee (+35) for an extended session. Mine first thing in the morning when stamina is full.

Mining Tips

  1. Mine first thing in the morning. Mining costs the most stamina (4-6/hit). Do it while your bar is full.
  2. Hoard Iron Ore. Metal Ingots are used in 6/8 furniture sets + tools + upgrades. You can never have too many.
  3. Never sell Fluorite. It is rare and needed for Research Room upgrades. Store every piece you find.
  4. Check daily rare nodes. Flawless Fluorite location changes daily. A quick mine check takes 2 minutes.
  5. Smelt in batches. Queue up 10+ ores at the Forge overnight. Smelting runs while you are offline.
  6. Stone is free XP. Grab roadside Stone while walking between locations. Zero detour, free materials.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many ore types are in Heartopia?

There are 6 ore types: Stone (Common), Coal (Uncommon), Copper Ore (Uncommon), Iron Ore (Uncommon), Fluorite (Rare), and Flawless Fluorite (Epic). Each has different locations and uses.

Where is the best mining spot in Heartopia?

The River Area mine is the best starting point with consistent Copper Ore spawns on layers 1-2. Mid-layer mines have Iron Ore. For Fluorite, look for cave crystal nodes in deeper mine areas. Flawless Fluorite rotates daily between rare nodes.

How does smelting work in Heartopia?

Smelting requires the Forge (unlocks at D.G. Level 5). Place ore + Coal as fuel into the Forge to produce ingots. Copper Ore → Copper Ingot, Iron Ore → Metal Ingot, Fluorite → Refined Fluorite. Each smelt consumes 1 Coal.

What is the most important ore in Heartopia?

Iron Ore is the most important. It smelts into Metal Ingots, which are used in 6 of 8 furniture sets, most tool upgrades, and many blueprints. Farm Iron Ore daily and keep 30+ Metal Ingots in reserve.

How do I find Flawless Fluorite in Heartopia?

Flawless Fluorite spawns at daily rotating rare nodes — the location changes each day. Check the mine areas daily for a glowing Epic node. It is the rarest ore and used for high-end furniture and premium crafting.

Does mining cost stamina in Heartopia?

Yes, mining costs 4-6 stamina per hit — the highest of any action. Mine early in the day when your stamina is full. Bring food (Coffee +35, Cake +40) if you plan an extended mining session.
