Cherry Blossom Rice β Heartopia Recipe Guide
Cherry Blossom Rice is a spring seasonal side dish made with Spring Rice, Cherry Blossom Petals, and Honey. It is one of the most-requested NPC gifts during the Spring Festival, delivering up to +35 affection per gift, and it counts toward three quest chains. This guide covers exact ingredients, where to find them, sell prices by star quality, and the best uses for each batch you cook.
How to Cook Cherry Blossom Rice
Gather Your Ingredients
You need 2x Spring Rice, 1x Cherry Blossom Petal, and 1x Honey. Spring Rice grows in paddies that unlock at Farm Level 1 during spring β harvest 2 stalks. Cherry Blossom Petals drop from the sakura trees in the Garden District from Day 1 of Spring through Day 20. Honey is sold by the Beekeeper NPC near the town well year-round for 15g each.
Open the Cooking Station
Walk to your Kitchen (Home interior, second room) or the Community Cookhouse in the Town Square. Interact with the cooking pot and select "Recipes" from the menu. Cherry Blossom Rice appears under the Side Dish tab if you have already unlocked it via the Spring Festival event or the Cherry Blossom Vendor.
Add Ingredients in Order
Select Spring Rice first (the base ingredient), then Cherry Blossom Petal, then Honey. The game displays a pink shimmer animation when all three are placed correctly. Ingredient order does not affect quality, but adding them wrong-order sometimes triggers a "misfire" warning β just confirm to continue.
Cook for 15 Minutes
The cooking timer runs in real time at 15 minutes. You can leave the cooking station and do other tasks β a soft bell sound plays when the dish is ready. If you are in a multiplayer session, other players cannot interrupt your cooking pot while it is active.
Collect and Check Star Quality
The finished Cherry Blossom Rice appears in your inventory with a star rating from 1 to 5. Quality is influenced by your Cooking Skill level, the freshness of ingredients (same-day harvest gives +quality), and any active Cooking Boost consumables. Star 3+ is achievable at Cooking Level 3 with fresh ingredients.

Best Uses for Cherry Blossom Rice
Spring Festival Gifting
Cherry Blossom Rice is among the top 5 preferred gifts during the Spring Festival event. Gifting Star 4β5 quality dishes to any NPC gives +35 affection, vs the standard +10 for basic gifts. Three NPCs β Mei, Sakura, and Elder Hana β give double affection for this specific dish.
Seasonal Quest Ingredient
The "Taste of Spring" questline (given by Chef TomΓ‘s at the Community Cookhouse during Days 10β25 of Spring) requires delivering 5x Cherry Blossom Rice. Completing this quest rewards the exclusive Spring Apron cosmetic and 200g.
Spring Festival Shop Token
During the Spring Festival, 3x Cherry Blossom Rice can be exchanged at the Festival Booth for 1 Festival Token. Tokens buy exclusive decorations not available any other way. Star quality does not matter for this exchange.
Daily Selling
At Star 3 quality (180g average), Cherry Blossom Rice offers moderate sell value for a spring dish. It is not the most profitable recipe but the ingredients are cheap (especially if you grow your own rice), making it a solid passive income source during the spring season.
