How to Cook Lavender Lemonade

1

Gather Your Ingredients

You need 3x Lemon, 2x Sugar, and 1x Lavender. Lemons grow from the Lemon Tree (planted at Farm Level 2, harvest every 3 in-game days). Sugar is crafted at the Mill from 2x Sugar Cane each — Sugar Cane grows in 3 in-game days. Lavender is a Spring wild plant found along the road near the Flower Meadow, or purchased from the Herbalist NPC for 20g each year-round.

Tip: Plant a Lemon Tree in Year 1 Spring so it matures by Summer. Lavender from the Herbalist NPC is the most reliable supply — the wild spawn is limited to 2-3 per day in Spring and Summer.
2

Open the Cooking Station

Go to your Kitchen or the Community Cookhouse. Lavender Lemonade is a stovetop recipe (look for the pot icon, not the oven icon). Select "Recipes" → "Drinks" tab. Lavender Lemonade appears once you have unlocked it — check the FAQ below for unlock methods if it is not visible.

Tip: The Drinks tab is the third tab in the Cooking Station menu, after Soups and Mains. If you see it greyed out, you haven't unlocked the recipe yet — reach Cooking Level 2 or buy the scroll from the Herbalist.
3

Add Ingredients to the Pot

Select Lemon (3x), then Sugar (2x), then Lavender (1x). The pot shows a "Recipe Match" indicator turning green when all ingredients are placed correctly. Stovetop recipes allow ingredient input in any order — there is no specific sequence required for Lavender Lemonade.

Tip: Using Star 2+ Lemons increases the base quality of the final drink. If your Lemon Tree is at Plant Mastery Level 3+, Lemons will naturally be Star 2-3, giving you better baseline quality without needing Cooking Skill buffs.
4

Simmer for 10 Minutes

Lavender Lemonade simmers for 10 real-time minutes. A gentle bubbling animation plays with a soft purple glow around the pot — that's the lavender infusing. You can step away to tend crops or visit town while it cooks. The chime that plays when the recipe completes has a light, floral tone distinct from other drinks.

Tip: The 10-minute cook time fits well with a trip to the Flower Meadow to gather more Lavender while a batch is running. Batch 3-4 servings in a row to maximize the trip.
5

Collect and Check Star Quality

The finished Lavender Lemonade appears in your inventory with a star rating from 1 to 5. Quality depends on Cooking Level (Drinks specialty gives a bonus), Lemon freshness (same-day harvest adds +quality), and whether the Herbalist Blessing food buff is active. At Cooking Level 3 with fresh Lemons, Star 3 is achievable.

Tip: The Herbalist Blessing food buff (from eating Wildflower Salad before cooking) gives +10% quality to all recipes using foraged ingredients. Since Lavender can be foraged, this buff applies to Lavender Lemonade if you use foraged Lavender rather than purchased.

Ingredients & Where to Find Them

Lemon

3x
Source: Lemon Tree (Farm Level 2, harvest every 3 in-game days) or General Store (35g each)

Tree matures after planting in 7 in-game days. Each tree produces 2-3 Lemons per harvest. A single Lemon Tree can cover a weekly Lavender Lemonade batch.

Sugar

2x
Source: Mill: 2x Sugar Cane per Sugar (Sugar Cane grows in 3 days) or Beekeeper Shop (25g each)

Sugar Cane is one of the fastest-growing crops. Plant 4 rows to have a continuous Sugar supply for multiple drink and dessert recipes simultaneously.

Lavender

1x
Source: Herbalist NPC (20g each, year-round) or wild forage near Flower Meadow (Spring and Summer only)

Foraged Lavender activates the Herbalist Blessing quality bonus if you have the buff active. Purchased Lavender does not count as foraged. Build 2-3 Lavender Planters (Greenhouse upgrade) for a year-round indoor supply.

Best Uses for Lavender Lemonade

Summer Festival Gifting

Lavender Lemonade is one of the top-rated drinks at the Summer Flower Festival in mid-Summer. Gifting Star 3+ quality to any NPC during the festival gives +30 affection. NPCs Elara, the Herbalist, and Rosa have it listed as a "Loved" gift year-round and give double affection (+60) when gifted Lavender Lemonade at any time.

Daily Selling

At Star 3 quality (168g sell price) against a total ingredient cost of roughly 75-80g (Lemons 50g, Sugar 30g, Lavender 20g at market prices), Lavender Lemonade yields a margin of 85-90g per batch. It is not the highest-margin drink, but its short 10-minute cook time and year-round availability from purchased ingredients make it reliable for daily production.

Herbalist Quest Supply

The Herbalist NPC has a weekly standing order for 3x Lavender Lemonade at 15% above standard sell price. Accepting this standing order converts the recipe into a reliable weekly income stream of roughly 580g for 3 batches, using purchased ingredients at break-even.

Cooking Skill Leveling

Lavender Lemonade is one of the most efficient Cooking XP recipes in the Drinks category at the 10-minute cook tier. Cooking 5-6 batches per in-game day in the Community Cookhouse grants enough XP to level from Cooking 2 to 3 within a single in-game week — faster than soups or oven recipes of the same difficulty tier.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I unlock the Lavender Lemonade recipe in Heartopia?
Three unlock paths: (1) Reach Cooking Level 2 — the recipe scroll arrives in the morning mail automatically. (2) Purchase the scroll from the Herbalist NPC for 90g once you reach Friendship Level 3 with her. (3) Complete the "Taste of Spring" town quest that becomes available in Year 1 Spring — the reward is the Lavender Lemonade scroll plus 200g. Once unlocked, the recipe is permanent.
Can I make Lavender Lemonade outside of Spring and Summer?
Yes, if you have a year-round Lavender supply. Foraged Lavender only spawns near the Flower Meadow in Spring and Summer, but the Herbalist NPC sells Lavender at 20g each year-round. Building Lavender Planters in the Greenhouse (unlocked at Farm Level 4) lets you grow Lavender indoors in any season. With purchased or grown Lavender, you can brew Lavender Lemonade year-round.
Which NPCs love Lavender Lemonade as a gift?
Lavender Lemonade is listed as a "Loved" gift for Elara (the baker), the Herbalist, and Grandma Rosa. These three give double affection when gifted this drink. It is a "Liked" gift for all other NPCs. During the Summer Flower Festival, all gift affection for flower-based recipes is doubled for all recipients.
Is Lavender Lemonade better than Starlight Punch for gold-making?
Starlight Punch has higher sell prices (250-450g per batch) but requires rarer ingredients and a longer cook time. Lavender Lemonade is faster to cook (10 min vs 20 min), easier to source consistently, and available year-round. For daily volume production, Lavender Lemonade is more reliable. For special occasions or gifting during the Carnival event, Starlight Punch is worth the extra effort for the higher margin.
How long does it take to make Lavender Lemonade from scratch?
From completely fresh ingredients: Lemons take 3 in-game days to grow after tree maturity, Sugar Cane takes 3 days (milling is instant), and Lavender can be purchased immediately. If you have a mature Lemon Tree and Sugar Cane in the ground, you can start a batch at harvest time with only the 10-minute cook delay. Maintaining running crops means you can have ingredients ready every 3 in-game days for a continuous supply.
What is the Herbalist Blessing buff and how does it affect Lavender Lemonade?
The Herbalist Blessing is a food buff from eating Wildflower Salad (crafted at Cooking Level 1 with 3x Wildflower) that gives +10% quality to all recipes using foraged ingredients. Since Lavender is a forageable plant, Lavender Lemonade qualifies for the buff — but only if the Lavender you use was actually foraged from the wild, not purchased from the Herbalist or grown in a Planter. Keep foraged Lavender separate from purchased to make the most of the buff on high-priority batches.
