How to Make Elderflower Cordial
Forage Elderflower
Elderflower grows wild in the Spring meadow areas near the river — specifically in the zone between the Town Bridge and the Waterfall Pool. It appears only in Spring and spawns 2–5 clusters daily per map zone. Each cluster yields 1–2 Elderflower when harvested with the gathering action (hold the Interact button). You need 4x Elderflower per batch of cordial, so check spawn zones every morning to accumulate enough.
Squeeze the Lemon
Bring 1x Lemon to the Kitchen Prep Station and use the Squeeze action to produce 1x Lemon Juice — the form used in the Elderflower Cordial recipe rather than the whole fruit. Squeezing takes 15 in-game seconds. Lemons come from the Lemon Tree in your orchard (year-round citrus tree, fruits every 5 in-game days) or from the Citrus Trader who visits the market for 30g each.
Combine in a Saucepan
At the stovetop, select "Recipes" → "Drinks & Cordials" tab. Choose Elderflower Cordial from the list. Add the 4x Elderflower, 2x Honey, and the freshly squeezed Lemon Juice. The recipe does not require a specific ingredient order — the stovetop interface will highlight empty slots until all three components are placed. Simmer for 12 Minutes
Elderflower Cordial simmers for 12 real-time minutes. The stovetop shows a gentle bubbling animation and a pale golden liquid slowly deepening in color. There is one stir prompt at the 6-minute mark — clicking the stir button adds +1 quality to the final cordial. The simmer stage is forgiving: unlike soups, Cordial will not boil over if you miss the exact stir window by 30 seconds.
Bottle and Collect
When simmering is complete, the Elderflower Cordial automatically bottles in a glass jar and appears in your inventory with a star rating from 1 to 5. Quality is determined by your Cooking Level (Drinks specialty helps), the stir prompt result, Elderflower freshness (same-day foraged flowers add a quality bonus), and any active cooking buffs. At Cooking Level 3 with same-day Elderflower and the stir prompt caught, Star 3 is the reliable baseline.

4xElderflower cannot be grown or purchased — it can only be foraged in Spring. Each batch of Cordial requires 4 flowers, so daily foraging across the full river bank route is necessary to build a stock. On good mornings with high spawn rates, you can gather 6–8 flowers per run.
Honey
2xTwo Honey per batch costs 30g at the Beekeeper, making it the main cash cost of this recipe outside of foraging time. Running 2 Beehives eliminates this cost entirely and covers your Elderflower Cordial production alongside other honey-based recipes.
Lemon
1xThe Lemon must be squeezed into Lemon Juice at the Kitchen Prep Station before adding to the recipe. Whole Lemons cannot be added directly. The Lemon Tree is a one-time orchard investment (28 days to mature) that produces Lemons indefinitely year-round.
